GP-10
In July 1997 Omnitrax purchased 30 former Mid-South GP-10 locomotives from Kansas City Southern. These units were 1002, 1004, 1006, 1010, 1012, 1013, 1017, 1020, 1024, 1025, 1030, 1038, 1039, 1040, 1041, 1045, 1048, 1049, 1053, 1059, 1061, 1064, 1066, 1070, 1073, 1073, 1074, 1076, 1079, and 1084. All except 1010 received GWRX (Great Western Railroad Leasing) reporting marks. 1010 received OMLX reporting marks. These locomotives were all former Illinois Central units rebuilt by ICG in the late 1960s and early 1970s at ICG's Paducah shops. Mid-South acquired 86 of the units numbering them 1001-1086 for their start up on March 31, 1986.
In Canada Omnitrax assigned 1004, 1006, 1012 (Parts), 1020, 1025, 1038, 1040, 1042, 1049, and 1064to the Carleton Trail Railway for it's start up on December 8, 1997. Units 1066 (Repainted and renumbers 2511) and 1079 were assigned to the Hudson Bay Railway for it's start up on August 20, 1997.
Omnitrax reassigned 1038, 1049 and 1064 to the Okanagan Valley Railway in November 1998.
Omnitrax reassigned Okan 1038, 1049, 1064 HBRY 2511 (1066) and CTRW 1006, and 1025, to the Central Kansas Railway in December 1999 and April 2004. CTRW 1042 was transferred to the Manufacturers Junction Railway in February 1999.
Units 1006, 1025, 1049 ended up on the Okanagan Valley Railway after service on the CKRY.

1025 built as CC 9328 12/57 (Serial 23828). Rebuilt as ICG 8328 04/71. To Mid-South 03/86. TO GWRX 1025 06/97. TO CTRW 1025 12/97. To CKRY 04/04. To OKAN 1025 10/01. To Knox Mountain Metals 12/18/04 scrapped.
1038 built as IC 9139 01/56. Rebuilt to ICG 8139 01/71. To Mid-South 1038 03/86. To GWRX 1038 06/97. To CTRW 1038 12/97. To OKAN 1038 11/98. To CKRY 12/99. To Chicago Rail Link 05/31/2001.
